After 32 years, the Spring Run School has closed and CEA is moving in a new direction.
CEA is pleased to announce that The CEA School is operating within the South Hunterdon Regional School District!
The CEA School is a New Jersey Department of Education approved private school and will conduct middle and high school classes at the South Hunterdon High School for the 2016 -2017 school year. In addition to academic instruction, transitional services will be provided with small student-to-teacher ratios.
The CEA School provides additional resources and services to students on the autism spectrum and with multiple disabilities with individualized academic and transitional services for students who face greater social and technological challenges as they become adults. Transitional services are structured to address three broad areas of life experiences: applying what is learned in school to real world demands; the development of workplace readiness, job acquisition, and retention skills; and opportunities in community employment, social engagement, and life skills.
Enrollment is open to students up to age 21 with an Individualized Educational Plan from any school district. Applications are being accepted for the summer 2016 ESY program which will run from July 1 through August 19. Applications are also being accepted for the 2016 – 2017 school year.
The CEA School will provide students with the least restrictive environment possible and be part of a public school setting. Students will have the opportunity to join clubs and sports teams with the students of the South Hunterdon Regional School District.
CEA has over 30 years experience in providing individualized transition services to students. For more information about The CEA School at South Hunterdon Regional High School, please contact Paul Semegran at 908-782-1480 x226.
